Just look at this thing of beauty. Can you believe it? This is a quilt I started over five years ago- yup, before I was Mrs. C. I pieced together the top and even started quilting it. But then I ran into a snag with the binding and never finished. In comes Mary over a Piece Garden.
She is a lovely crafter also based here in Atlanta. Full disclosure- we were co-workers at a very large engineering/transportation planning firm before we became crafting buddies. But we both left the firm shortly after we met, and didn’t really get to know each other until she left a great comment on my blog. Low and behold- we’re now great crafting buds who share a lot in common. Not just in the crafting arena, but in life philosophy and outlooks. She’s also very supportive of my Community Supported Bakery- she’s one of my two members!
So- if you hope over to her blog, you’ll see that she’s quite the sewer- quilts and clothes and hand embellishment galore. I commissioned her to finish a few quilting projects, including this beauty. She’s all booked up for 2011, though, so you’ll have to get on her waiting list if you’re interested. Here’s a few more shots of the quilt:
